Woensdag 22 mei organiseren wij een symposium met als onderwerp ‘prehabilitatie’. Prehabilitatie is een programma voor patiënten die geopereerd gaan worden. Het heeft als doel om de conditie van de patiënt te verbeteren, zodat iemand beter bestand is tegen de operatie. ‘Hoe fitter erin, hoe fitter eruit’. Prehabilitatie wordt momenteel vooral toegepast bij operaties met doorgaans veel complicaties en een langdurig herstel. Maar ook voor andere operaties is prehabilitatie zinvol.

Er komen veel verschillende sprekers, van fysiotherapeut tot chirurg, hun expertise over dit veelbesproken onderwerp overdragen. Wie de sprekers zullen zijn, zullen we later via instagram bekend maken, dus houd het instagramaccount van Fysiek goed in de gaten!

On Wednesday, May 22, we are organizing a symposium on the topic of 'prehabilitation'. Prehabilitation is a program for patients about to undergo surgery. The aim is to improve the patient's condition, so that someone is more resistant to the operation. 'The fitter in, the fitter out'. Prehabilitation is currently mainly used for operations that usually have many complications and a long recovery. But prehabilitation is also useful for other operations.

Many different speakers, from physiotherapists to surgeons, will share their expertise on this much-discussed subject. We will announce who the speakers will be later via Instagram, so keep a close eye on Fysiek's Instagram account!
